Dr. Torben Jensen
HBKin, DC
Torben is an avid mountain biker and skier and loves strength training. When he’s not working on his patients to get them back on their boards, bikes or belay, you’ll find him on the trails himself. He has been involved in sports most of his life. Participating in martial arts, BMX racing and university wrestling, he has experienced a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and knows how important a fast recovery and return to your activity is. Torben enjoys putting his patients through the paces to get them back to what they love to do as quickly as possible.
Torben has an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Lakehead University and is a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic. Dr. Jensen has been practicing chiropractic since 2002 and utilizes a variety of manual therapy interventions when treating his patients. He is certified by the Motion Palpation Institute, is a certified ART® and Graston®Technique provider, as well as a DNS Certified Practitoner and DNS Certified Exercise Trainer.
Dr. Sarah Macchi
HBKin, DC
Sarah has a long history in athletics including competitive gymnastics and freestyle wrestling. She was a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer for several years and continues to stay active by running, biking, skiing and strength training. As an athlete, Sarah understands that injuries can be frustrating and strives to help you get back to your normal daily activities or sport as quickly as possible. She has a passion for treating active minded patients who want to feel good, function well, and be healthy.
Sarah graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Lakehead University. She attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and has been in chiropractic practice since 2002. Dr. Macchi is on the postgraduate faculty at National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois and teaches chiropractors and chiropractic students throughout Canada, the United States, South America and Europe for the Motion Palpation Institute. Sarah incorporates a variety of manual therapy techniques into her practice. She is certified by the Motion Palpation Institute, is a certified ART® and Graston®Technique provider, as well as a DNS Certified Practitoner and DNS Certified Exercise Trainer.
Danika Renwick
RMT
Sports have had a major role in Danika’s life from university soccer, rock climbing, ice climbing, and running; thus, she believes taking care of the body that moves us through everyday life is important, no matter what stage. It can be frustrating when you feel like you can’t participate in those everyday activities which motivates her to help with both short- and long-term goals. Danika graduated from Mount Royal University’s Massage Therapy program in June 2021. After she completed her sociology degree at Mount Royal, she was intrigued by how our interactions and experiences shape society and each person. As a massage therapist, she recognizes the different backgrounds each person has and will build a treatment plan which best suits them. She is driven to provide support for current and future wellness. Whether it’s to restore, prevent injury or stress relief, Danika is excited to help, and problem solve.
Techniques include: Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Cupping, Hot Stone Massage and IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization).
